I need some suggestions/advice. I want to build a walker (I was inspired by Battlefield 2142, thought it may not look exactly like I was) to use as a Predator Destructor. I've got the upper body mostly done. It needs the Heavy Bolters finished off, a few more armor pannels, a little putty/sanding work, and I think I may add smoke launchers of some sort to it (haven't decided yet). IWhat I'm wondering is how to build the upper body/leg interface.

A 40mm base will fit inside of the under body (across the non sponson part of the upper body, it's about the same width as a Dreadnought with it's arm weapons attached, roughly). However, this would not leave me a lot of room to get the legs under the body and I'm not sure how well that would look. As a note, Sentinel legs are too short to use as a basis to build from (as well as too narrow between the legs). I may scratch build the legs if I have to, but I've seen arms/legs used to good effect off some Chaos walkers (just not sure how long/thick they are to decide if they are right. See below for some WIP shots of the upper body.

You should file down the bottom of the ring of the hatch. It looks odd sticking up like that. Otherwise, nice work so far!

Have you thought about defiler or dreadnought legs?

How big are the Defiler/Soul Grinder Arms and Legs in comparison to Sentinel legs?

I could try and find some 30mm bases to build the 'torso'/'legs connection. Does anyone make a 35mm circular base?
