This is a list idea that I can up with that I feel can be very effective in a lot of situations. Its very cliche but I think it will catch some people off guard.

Butcher - +6wj
war dog - 1
- Kodiak - 8

Max Assault kommandos - 8
- 2 flamethrower s - 2

Kayazy eliminators - 3

Man hunter - 2

Great bears - 5

Harlan Versh - 2

Simple. AKs screen the bears with butcher and Kodiak on one flank, all the stealthers on flanks. I can't remember if Harlan works for khador and I don't have my books but he proved himself a few times to me. He can just now down infantry that have upkeeps on them so effectively and he can be extremely dangerous to soft war casters. I have thought about replacing the Kodiak for something harder hitting but the aks and bears and man hunter make up for it I think. Will hopefully be testing this coming weekend so we will see how it plays.

Well first Harlan does work with Khador.

I like it, but have you considered something else for the flamethrowers? I don't see what they really buy you here.

because dude, they are flamethrowers. who doesn't love flame throwers? .. well other then the people you are using it on

Flamethrowers help the AKs deal with models hiding in cover and/or stealthed. Since they can't hit high DEF very well and I would not want to sacrifice my melee models just to flush out hiding enemies. Also, sprays can potentially generate many damage rolls that will be boosted by butchers feat. On top of that, it brings the unit up to 10pts which makes it easier to switch out for WGDS, IFP + UA, Kayazy + UA, all of which operate very well with butcher

And you've hit upon why you don't take assault kommandos. For the same ten points you can get something that is actually usefull. I'd suggest the pikemen as they have pathfinder on the charge.

But AKs are useful. They kill stuff gud with butcher's buffs.

Can't kill what you can't hit. Butcher has no accuracy buffs. Rat 5 without a boost only hits what you can't hurt. If you want sprays, Winterguard Deathstar will fill that role at Def 17 no less.

Yeah, I have been noticing that the mediocre RAT/MAT of the AKs is a huge setback. However, they can hit DEF12 on avg rolls and they can put damage on heavy warjacks with butcher buffs. I mean, they do have three attacks on the charge. Besides, WGDS is not as effective in Melee, and they have low ARM which makes them vulnerable to AOE attacks and chain lightnings etc etc. Dont get me wrong, WGDS are better in almost every way, but I am trying to make the AKs useful in some lists.
