Are characters that are attached to a unit required to move with the same movement type as the unit they are attached to, or must they only be able to keep up with whatever movement mode they are using?

The example I am thinking of is the following:
Farseer (or Autarch) on a Jetbike joins a unit of Warp Spiders

1. In the movement phase, the Jetbike may move 12", the Warp Spiders 6+2d6".
2. In the Shooting Phase, Spiders can shoot and move d6", the Jetbike can move 36" (but not shooting)
3. In the Assault Phase, both units may make a 2d6" move, though they are called different things

In each of these phases, is there anything preventing the two units from moving together, provided they remain in coherency at all times? For instance, in the shooting phase, the Spiders jump 14", the Jetbike moves 12", through positioning coherency is maintained. Is this legal, or are the two units forced to move 6" on foot in that phase because they are unable to make the same kind of move?

My guess is that they can indeed move together as long as they maintain coherency and do not break any other rules (the shooting phase might get a little tricky but as long as they move at the same time I imagine it is alright). However, if there are specific rules somewhere that prevent this from occurring I would like to know about it before I go breaking rules this weekend. Hence, this thread!

Thanks,
-M8B

The wording isn't especially clear.

For example, in the Shooting phase:
Run rules, p. 14 wrote:In their Shooting phase, units may choose to Run instead of firing.... Models in the unit may then immediately move up to that distance....

Turbo-boost rules, p. 45 wrote:Bikes and Jetbikes cannot Run....
So the question becomes "If it's a Unit that chooses to Run, but part of the unit cannot Run, what then?" For myself, with mixed unit, I choose not to Run.

One part is pretty clear, though - a turbo-boosting bike doesn't get to make an Assault move. "Bikes and Jetbikes therefore cannot...execute any other voluntary action for the rest of the turn after Turbo-boosting."

Oh, yeah... so in the given example above I'd have to leave a trail of Spiders (if they ran in the Shooting phase) back to the Jetbike if I wanted to be able to have the unit perform the assault phase move. Well, got THAT one checked off, at least...
