i also have marauders a daemon prince a normal chaos lord and war hounds that i didn't put in this list seeing as it was made quickly for a 2v2 match . any ideas how to improve this list . the most me and my friends play are 2000 points .

I would edit the sorc lord to have the Glittering Scales, and be on a barded steed with a shield. Preferrably the charmed shield.

You need a BSB, the best BSB build, IMO, is the 3+ ward tzeentch save. This can be achieved 2 ways. (Yes, you can get 2 3+ ward dudes.) Either, the 4+ talisman, or the 4+ ward armour. He then sits on a disc with a flail/great weapon.

As for the core, the flaming banner would logically be on the Great Weapon troops, due to the high strength,

The Tzeentch troops are good.

Drop the Hellstriders and add to the knights. As discussed on this site, Hellstriders need a finesse list(one built around them) to work. Normal Knights work better, drop the shaggoth, and add to them and the skill crushers.

Skull Crushers are good, 4 would be better IMO.

Agree with a lot of that. My main query was about the filth mace (which I don't think looks very good) and the helm, which makes your only character stupid - could be risky.

I would consider standard of discipline if you go with that lord build, so that you get to move / cast more.

I am getting less sure about needing a BSB, but that may be because I seem to win combat when in range and lose when out of range...

If you really want to keep the Shaggoth, I'd swap your current lord for a flying DP, so that your opponent has to choose who to shoot.
