I've had an on and off relationship with 40k over the years due to a lack of 40k community in my area and life in general. However, now I'm re-entering the hobby and can't wait to pick it back up. I want to start up fresh and am considering CSM, BA, BT, or GK as my "re-entry" army.

I'm in this hobby mainly for the fluff and aesthetic, but don't want to be a total auto-loss on the tables either. I know 6th favors ranged armies, but I'm still set on crafting a competitive assault army from one of the above. Hand-to-hand combat and old-school warrior prowess just seems way cooler to me than blasting away at range!
