Hello guys,

as you can see in subject I am gonna do Catachan's army in Vietnam style. That means infantry, infantry and yes infantry. First I would like do army on 1000pts than up to 2000pts, but that is far future.

So here we go:

-CCS, reg.standart 65pts
-PCS, 1x hw flamer, 3x flamer 65pts
-Elite - Marbo 65pts
-4x infantry squad + Commisar 235pts
-3x 3xAC HWT 225pts
-Veterans + Harker, 3x plasma, camo cloaks + snare mines 200pts (all in Vendetta)
-Vendetta 130pts

All on 985pts IF i counted correct.

Any suggestions what to do w 15pts? Does heavy flamer worth it or is better drop it and pick up regular flamer (save 15pts)

Do you think I can hold up against armoured army? Thank you for any advice!

I like it. fits what you want. Here is what I would change.

1. Dont put harker in the vendetta. Let him infiltrate. maybe add an auto cannon to that squad with the remaining points. that way he can be a light vehicle threat also.

2. Not so sure about the heavy flamer, that is alot of points you could use to upgrade the CCS with a few special weapons or a lascannon.

I like having commissars in the infantry squad. Keeps them there a bit.

Be sure to learn your orders. That is where your army will work best. It is tricky but you can do it.

Yes I probably drop HW flamer. I can use these points somewhere else.

How about let all Veterans w Harker on the ground and let them infiltrate? But is the "infiltrate" enough to get them to fight?

And instead of them PCS in Vendetta? They can give orders from Vendetta right? And if situation allows I can drop them to burn something or conquer some point.

BTW: Is enough 1 Commisar to cover 4 infantry squads?

And my last question: Should I add 1 more Commisar to HWTs? Their morale is low too, they can run very easily.

1 commissar can cover 4 infantry squads if you combine the squads. Or, a Lord Commissar can give stuborn to all units within the range of that ability, think it is six inches off hand. (no codex close by)

Yes, infiltrate harker. If you add a heavy weapon, that will give you a 36 inch range with two weapons. Harkers heavy bolter and one other, i would go with a auto cannon. Just my thoughts.

You are right, but for 1000pts there is no room for them. 1500-2000pts ... I would bring them more!

Right know I am trying to deal, what is best way for anti tank units....HWT with AC or LC? Or something else? Marbo and his melta bomb is cool, but it seems more like "hit and die" than long hunting how codex says :-)
