Annoyed Blood Angel Devastator




Hi, here is yet another army list at 1000 points I'm trying to get as many ideas as possible to make my "perfect" army.

125 - Librarian (JumpPack)
075 - Sanguinary Priest (JumpPack)

245 - Assault Squad (2x Meltagun, Thunder Hammer, Meltabombs)
245 - Assault Squad (2x Meltagun, Thunder Hammer, Meltabombs)

150 - Devastator Squad (4x PlasmaCannons)
150 - Devastator Squad (4x PlasmaCannons)

990 - Total

The devastator squad could instead have two missile launchers and two lascannons for the same amount of points

With the 10 spare points both of the Assault Squad sargents could have combat shields as far as I can tell from the codex. Is it worth it? (Thinking mainly for challenges)

So what do you think? Suggestions and feedback always appreciated - Thanks

Personal I like plasma cannons but I think you should do one with all rockets and the other with plasma cannons. It allows you to dedicate a razorback to them. I can see this list having trouble against heavy gunlines like tau. With the 1000 points I think more assaults/tacticals would be better served.

How so? I think the got better with the glancing rules and there versatility.

Nope. Their ROF 1 makes them horrible at glancing things to death. And small blast templates are terrible. Autocannons are pretty much better all the time.

I agree with the auto cannons being awesome best most versatile gun in game but dev squads can't take them. On transports 4 shots is likely to take it down.

Touché salesmen. I would do more assault squads for a 1000 point game. I would fear that the plasma cannons would blow up(had 3 die out of 4 in one turn). Otherwise plasma is a good dev options

Plasma cannons are homerun hitting weapons. They can do a serious amount of damage, but if your opponent has no good targets, they strike out. I generally prefer them to MLs, because MLs scare no one that matters.
