Ok, after going through a 0-7 run at WGC this year, I have decided to make a list that will hopefully help me do well in a tourny setting.

Here it is:

HQ:

Librarian (Shield o' Sanguinius, Shackle Soul) [Warlord - Strategic Traits, possibly Divination]

Elites:

X2 Sanguinary Priests (Bikes, Meltabombs)

Sanguinary Priest [Goes with TH/SS termies]

Assault Terminators (x5 man, TH/SS, LRC w/ MM)

Troops:

ASM (Melta, RB w/ HB)

ASM (Melta, RB w/ HB)

ASM (Melta, RB w/ HB)

Fast Attack:

X3 MM Attack Bikes

X3 MM Attack Bikes

X4 Hyperios Air Defense Platforms

Heavy Support:

Stormraven (MM, AC)

Thoughts?

First thing: not all tournaments allow forgeworld. What's the alternative for such tournaments?

I guess some more MM attack bikes, or another cheapo ASM squad in RB.

I've found that TL HB are fairly decent vs most fliers.

The primary fliers in the game you should be caring about are all immune to HB fire. The helldrake is especially resistant to HP stripping.

I've still found a 4ML Devi Squad behind the Aegis Line with Quad Gun is very effective.

Maybe, but the quandry there is how much you end up with in reserves. So then you are tempted to buy a commlink to make sure they show. BA can't afford the points just to play, imo. But that's a failing of the Stormraven, imo.

Assuming forgeworld is allowed, this does look pretty good against a lot of builds. I don't think BA can really cover all their bases, or even really get close. But the FW stuff helps a lot. I'd still be concerned about Tau and Eldar shooty lists. Maybe Ork horde lists as well.
