Hey I need help painting gems on my eldar, I would like them to be sort of icy gems I think instead of red. I think I want them to be almost.. glowing?

Ill post a picture of the paint scheme I need colour idea's aswell as instructions on how to do them well so they look awesome.

Any other idea's to make them look better im open to listening to.

There are at least 4 colors of gems on the bike bodies in this gallery. If you like one I'll tell you how to do it.

I guess these ones look pretty good, think they would go well with my colours? I also want some tips on what I should do with the cockpit glass? The tanks were base coated black when I got them

Ok those are based black then mostly covered with regal blue, then 60% covered in enchanted blue, then 20% covered in ice blue with either a white line or a white dot depending on preference. I like to use a 18/0 flat to do gems.

With the color of your models, i think that particular scheme for the Gems will likely wash out. I would look more towards maybe purple, red or something else that while it may not contrast, won't quite blend into the model itself. Unless of course you want them to blend in with the model.

I want them to be similar, yet "glowing" differently, think of it like a snow covered light, I want that light to protrude through the snow covered exterior of the tank.

If that makes any sense.

I dont think I could do that, id have to mask off like 200 gems not gonna happen
