I'm not sure how I feel about those arms or the leaning forward pose, but the rest of the mini looks very well modeled, and your base looks spectacular!

I guarantee you that I'm not really as smart as the test says:

Glad you like it. It's a lot more animated an dynamic than zoanthrope models have been for the past...well, ever. I I think its a way better take on the unit than anything I've seen GW release.

The pose is leaning forward because its flying low to the ground. It's pulling itself through a broken window as it prowls ruins for prey. It's a lot more sinister than the carebear version that comes stock.

You can't tell me you prefer the original pose, can you?! It looks like a seahorse!

Also, I get that the idea is that its limbs have atrophied, but the tiny little limbs remind me of a two-year old child having a slap fight. Also, the actual codex entry says zoanthrope's weapons and biomorphs are "claws and teeth" and I think my model does more justice to that than the seahorse does.

Looks great, its a big galaxy and the Tyranids are constantly evolving. You don't need an excuse for his unique appearance.

Yes! Thank you, XT-1984.

Here are some more pictures:

Woah, now I get it. I wish I had seen the side view before. It looked like he was parallel to the ground and flat, not gliding above the ruined wall. Also, you're right about the arms and looking puny on the original, I'm just more used to the classical look of scything talons than GS claws I guess.

I love Sea Horses! But really i think the floating concept portrays the crazy power that lurks within. I like the model, but it does not scream Zoey for me maybe broodlord.
