The Idea is to reserve the entire army and pod half in on turn one and focus fire 2-3 units / vehicles down to gain a point advantage.
If i go second, I pretty much take the first game turn away from my opponent.
The pod with the locator beacon always goes balls deep turn one so that the tac squads don't scatter some crazy direction themselves when they come in.
This enables confident secure of cover or rapid fire.
Vulkan is not in a sterngaurd pod because I don't want him dead by turn 2. I'd almost rather him not come in on turn two, if im lucky.
The general strat should be obvious, which is to have stern pods come in guns blazing and single out 2-3 Vehicles with the squads (if any) inside.
Against nids (only one of these players here) I would use the combi meltas as hellfire rounds or the like, and simply not worry about melta fire unless I was in need of the AP.
