I'm looking for an alternative to use to the normal GW Gorger. While I don't mind the model, I'm not super keen on paying so much per model when I might need up to 6 or 8 of them.
Has anyone used any other models as Gorgers? I'd like to avoid highly converting things, because I'm not especially skilled at that. Any ideas would be helpful though.
Thanks.

Forge World Skin Wolves.
I've also seen some conversions making basically an Ogre Bezerker or Fanatic.

Just use Ogres and paint them differently. Or use like double hand weapons to represent them being all hacky.

The only downside to this is that it doesn't fit the fluff of the Gorgers. They are supposed to be lithe and whatnot.
I have looked at the skin wolves, but they are still a bit on the pricey side.
Gotta do something though, I guess. lol

Mantic ogres might work... they aren't as "fat" as GW's

But you're right, the models are insanely expensive. I was staring at it going, that's like 2 thumbnails of resin for $40.

How about Mantic's Werewolves? Those haven't gotten a mention yet. They're lithe, have claws on their hands...maybe just GS a new lower jaw on them.
