So, I've always played it where the guardsmen are firing out of the hatch on top of the turret. I've now been told that that is completely wrong, and you fire from the hatch in the back. I honestly never even though of that. Why? Because the rule states that "Five models may fire from the top hatch....but for simplicity we assume all shots are from the hatch." So when I first started my army, I looked at my Chimera, found the hatch on top, and decided that yes, that is very simple to fire from and never thought about it again.

Firing from the back hatch seems like it would create way to many problems, being completely flush with the hull of the Chimera...

Sorry but its from the back hatch (technically the gun holes at the sides of the hatch)... I love your spirit for fitting 5 men through the little hatch though.

It is the back one. the rule even mentions the lasers just around it!

I suppose that does make a bit more sense, but really, from a RAW view it seems to be pretty clearly the hatch on the turret.

Is that a hatch or a copula? This same argument has come up regarding the Rhino.

HIWPI: The back hatch.
