Way back in the old Rouge Trader Days [1998-1991?] there was a White Dwarf that had a set of rules for Running out of Ammunition during a 40k Game. does anyone have those rules or know what White Dwarf they were in?
Don't have access to those, but if you can find them you could probably figure out a way to co-opt the ammo roll rules from Necromunda to do the job in your games if you want to simulate this. Those rules make things like lasguns much more reliable than bolters and other hightech weaponry.
