I have a riptide but didnt have it in the army at the time had a squad of fusion blasters but he was saving against them, and my luck with the hammer head was it was scattering away from him. Was it just bad luck on my part and good on his?

Crisis suits with double plasma, or drown it in pulse.

Its like any other multi wound terminator.

Edit: for giggles use a dark angel ally with a rad grenade in conjuction with a hammerhead rail shot or dark strider on a icarus las.

on the forum. Obviously

Plasma, plasma everywhere. Rail guns tend to help. Can't go wrong with AP1.

Why were you rolling for scatter? Single shot railgun or three shots of an ioncannon will do more damage than their blast version.

Tau have plenty of answers. Crisis suits with double fusion or double plasma, Broadsides, Hammerheads, Riptides, lots of firewarrior shots, Kroot sniper blob, or even Pathfinders with rail rifles if you're really desperate.

I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."

"The argument is that we have to do this or we will, bit by bit,
lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous
deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky."

It's taken 24 fire warriors 1 triple tap volley to kill my dreadknight in both games I've used it against tau. They didn't even need to use the riptides.
