Glad to be here! Thought I'd use an introductions forum for the first time in my life, since every site I've been to in terms of minis/wargaming has a great community where this type of thing is welcomed.

I've always had an interest in miniatures, but lately I actually decided to dive in and start painting things. I love the way Reaper minis look, so I decided to pick up a few Learn to Paint kits as well as a few Dwarven minis. Looking forward to painting those and hopefully convincing some friends to play with me (when I have a big enough Warband or two) using the Song of Blades and Heroes rules.

I've always had an interest in fantasy settings, so I want to start getting into Warhammer Fantasy. The shop near me has some old boxes of Lizardmen (is that what they're called?) and Dark Elves on the cheap, so that would be a good starter.
Also, I got a a pretty sweet deal on 19 Space Wolves when I was there last time, so surely that can help me make the beginnings of a 40k army, though I don't have a codex yet to tell me for sure.

Apparently there is a also a pretty decent local Warmachine community in my area and I've been thinking about picking up the undead-type faction.

Anyway, looking forward to joining the community!
