I have just bought 3 boxes of the new Wraithguard/Wraithblades in plastic.
The reason for this is that, despite having 10 of the older metal models yet to paint, the new models are much nicer with more options and are also a bit bigger.
My initial plan was to create a unit of 10 with wraith cannons and 5 with d scythes out of the boxes I have ordered. I had also planned to sell the metal models.
However, I am now undecided as I have heard good things about Wraithblades.
Now I am thinking of keeping the metal models with cannons and using the new kits to make 5 with d scythes and 10 wraithblades which I would attempt to magnetise so they can use both the swords and axes/forceshields.
Are the Wraithblades a viable option or should I stick with the shooty versions? Alternatively should I keep 5 of my metal models and make 5 Wraithblades as a bodyguard for an HQ choice with their forceshields?
Final option, should I keep all my models (metal and plastic) and field 20 with cannons and 5 d scythes?
I don't actually plan on fielding an Iyanden Wraith list, but with all these minis it kinda seems to have ended up that way!

I like the idea of sticking Jain Zar with wraithblades - then they get to -5 to both init and ws. That should mean they win most combats
Iyanden spiritseer psyker rules give furious charge to wraithblades - the axes get up to st8, so they'll break most units. I'm going to do this and add a spiritseer to spirit mark units and also so he can deny challenges. That means monstrous creatures etc will get a lot of axes coming their way. Anything with WS7 or less will be only hitting on 5+'s.
I like the sound of them - I just haven't made/run them yet.

Good plan, just bear in mind I think spirit mark only works on shooting attacks. I could be wrong on that though.
So what do you think? Should I keep the metal ones and build 10 wraithblades or go with the original plan of selling the metal ones off?

I went for this one
Wraith cannons x 10, Wraithblades x 10, 5 x D Scythes.
I'm in the same boat - I appear to have aquired an Iyanden army.
I've played Wraithwall before in 5th and it was fun - now they've improved the rules too.
I say go with it - Wraithwall is fantastic to play as a change from normal CE. I've a 2k list with 2 T3 models on the table. Everything else is T6 or above.
My mates have started packing loads of flamers as they do well against CE. So I'm going to bust out wraithwall again at some point.

Horrific Howling Banshee

Nope, Spirit Mark is all hits of 1. If you're going with this plan an Autarch w/ a Banshee Mask would be a much cheaper alternative, though not reducing WS as well. With the cost difference you can snag a Celestial Lance and then some, which is much better than Jain Zar's Blade of Destruction.

The autarch is a lot cheaper, but the celestial lance can kill your own troops. Its any model under the template is hurt if you kill someone with it. I prefer the reduced weapon skill

Wraithblades can be nice with the added extras...but Wraithguard are already nice out of the box and the added extras make them simply fantastic.
I would opt to make 5 with cannons, 5 with scythes, and magnetise the last 5 for Wraithblade options, since it's rare you'll want both loadouts against any particular army. In particular they make a great counter-attack unit to break the cannons and scythes out of combats they don't want to get stuck in.

I am getting more and more wraith blades so I can stick them with Jan Zar. The combo is just too good and wipes most units.
I also have 10 normal and am getting 10 for D-scythe goodness. Wraith armies are fun but that's just it. Fun
