is this what i would aim for if i were to go for a completely competitive list?

Troops:
-5x Assault Marines w/ Flamer, Hand flamer, Razorback with Las, TL plasma
-5x Assault Marines w/ Flamer, Hand flamer, Razorback with Las, TL plasma
-5x Assault marines w/ Flamer, Melta-bomb, Razorback with Las, TL plasma
-5x Assault marines w/ Melta-gun, Sgt with 2x Inf Pistols in drop pod

Fast attack:

i was thinking of filling the drop po ASM squad up to full 10 and add the 2nd melta.
that way they can combat squad and split to focus 2 tanks on their drop turn

Seems strong to me. The only problem I see is that you only have 20 models that can hold objectives. Because they are only five man squads seems like you will be eassaly pushed off objectives. I have seen a lot of people do very well with lists like yours and many people who just cant use them.

I think youll be doing great once you have some games under your belt and you have your target priority down,

Looks as good as anything that can be fielded in general. Makes lists without good ranged AT a little sad. I like that. Punish the plasma spammers.

No AA? not sure if any list without AA is competitive...

I'm not sure how much of a problem it truly is unless he runs into CSM. Vendettas would suck, too, but unless you're Tau, there's not much to be done there.
