Thoughts on these please? I'm pretty happy with them, the main thing I'm unsure about is the blue shoulder armour. I have some hex-camo stencils on order which I may use to make some patterns on the shoulders, might make it pop a little more. Camera doesn't show very well that the blue shoulders are metallic blue. I've got some orange/red pigment powders which I'm going to use on the base and lower part of the legs to give a dusty, Mars type planet feel.
Please give me your thought's and ideas please, criticism welcomed! I'm still unsure as to how I will do the vehicles, I'm not going with edge highlighting, as I did that with my Dark Eldar. Anyone seen any good inspiration?
Thanks for looking.

Trons Crons forever! I think they'd look better with metal or rusted red shoulder blades.

those look very good. nice job.
the only thing is i think the bases need a wash and dry brush, too flat right now.

These are fantastic. I bet you could paint up a lot of these in a pretty quick amount of time as well. I am not really a fan of the color of red on the bases but that is just me.
Seriously... I might even start a necron force if I could get mine looking this nice.

Your metallics look nice, but I personally think the lighting is too intense.

They look good, but not good in the way that you want. The OSL looks a bit... liberal in application.

Thanks all for your thoughts. The bases are more shaded in RL, theres actually a few highlights and washes in there, the cameras made it a bit brighter than it is. Hopefully after the pigments and dust are on there it will look better.
The OSL is quite 'bright' I guess, it will be more toned down on other models, was trying to get the troops done in a fairly quick matter, is troops are the thing that seems to get me a bit burnt out with armies.
I've been trying to experiment with crackle paints to find some interesting armour effects but no luck yet, that stuff is really finicky.
For doing the metal with an airbrush - Black undercoat, Vallejo air metallic black, then gunmetal airbrushed at a 45degree angle and then built up on certain areas for highlights.

Excellent combo, the base color really makes the models get electric, from the photos it looks like just the right kind of blue to work nicely. Very menacing.

I wish I was good at OSL so I could actually help you out on this. Maybe once they're in a group it'll work and look like they're reflecting off of the neighboring models.
