Hi folks,
Regarding the Iyanden wargear weapon called the Soulshrive - does the strength increase in melee from any would caused by the weapon itself, or the model? (i.e. could a wound caused by Mandiblasters increase it?) I'm assuming it's wounds by the owning model only...

Many thanks!

It specifically state the strength bonus is to ShoulShrive, the weapon, and not the wielder

This is explicit in the rules, as when you read the Melee profile it does not refer to the strength of the user at any point

The rule specifically states it only increases its Strength by wounds it has caused, so no, wounds from other sources do not count.

I also totally misread the question, which to be fair isnt brilliantly laid out...

So yes, only wounds caused by SShrive cause SShrive to gain strength, so mandiblasters have no chance to increase SShrive, nor HoW attacks, etc.
