I would love to see this list in action...lol. Considering Orks are shooting, why not take a Quad gun (drop some Grots?)? Funny how Grots are totally out of LOS behind an Aegis too!
Might consider Comms Relay to help make sure you get the Fightas when you want?
Also, can the Fightas get their Whaaagh double shots any turn or only a turn when your warboss calls the Whaagh? Because you might want to consider getting a Warboss for that reason alone which basically doubles the effectiveness of your flyers for a turn.

I have no idea what edition it was a rule but for the current ork codex the Waaagh is just an army special rule not attached to any one HQ. It's funny after so long this keeps poping up in games.

I feel gunline Orks can be done and can do well. But I have to agree that the Grots have to go. The ADL effects LoS both ways, so if you can't see past it, you also can't shoot. Shoota boys with Big Shootas or even Rokkits can give your list more than the Grots.

I'm two for two with TOs approving the Aegis for use with Big Guns, so don't be too concerned about the Grots height (or just mount them on tall bases, haters be damned)
If forgeworld is ok in your list, you could take another SAG Mek and another unit of Lootas. Or a gakky HQ called Skalk and yet another unit of Troop Lootas on top of that. Also Grot Bomms - fantastic for countering stuff like Imperial Guard Basilisks and then can make excellent movement blockers.
Seconding (thirding? fifththing?) the Grots to Shootas trade though. Units of twenty with two Big Shootas and no Nob. Other viable swaps to consider;
>Kannons to Lobbas (I personally tend to use the frag rounds more than krak because Lootas, and Lobba frag is much better)
>Ammo Runts for bonus crew (those 3pt T7 3+ wounds are just the most ridiculously good gak man)
>Aegis - Bastion (hide small Lootas unit and/or SAGs inside for 100% protection from barrage and good vantage point, autofiring guns, 3+ cover on roof rather than 4+ behind aegis)
>Quad - Lascannon (you have plenty of AA, but you have no reliable anti AV14 firepower)

I second the grots to shoota change.
Also, unless you have your heart set on the big meks, then consider trading them out for a pair of warphead psykers; reroll results that aren't waaaagh, and double up your dakkajets' shooting all the time.

I concur with both dakkamite and crystal-maze. Lobbas help orks snipe rather effectively.18" shootas far out weigh grots, though one units manning the defense line isn't a bad idea.
Also, My understanding with the gun on the defense line is LOS is drawn from the weapon not the model manning it. I think it's faq'd too.
Orks main drawback is av 14 and that's a metaphysical fact in tourny's.

Yeah, my only real anti AV 14 is the icarus.

Hmm. Question where are the big meks going to be. THey are very, very dangerous, and often with the shock attack tend to blow up in units. they also like to teleport themselves into enemy units. The bosspole is almost unfunctional. I'd put warbosses into the units with a bosspole or I believe someone else mentioned dual warpheads to double the dakka of the flyers with multiple waaagh turns.
If you really want the shock attacks, drop the bosspole, grab a burna so they have a pw if they end up teleport charging. And leave them on their own instead of with a unit. It works in your favor as one more unit the enemy has to worry about.

SAG I usually align with Big Gunz Kannons, so they will have toughness 7 and access to the ammo runts. Teleporting is the least of your worries (but I would give both Big Meks Burnas just in case - don't forget that the Kannons teleport as well and you can allocate 2 wounds to them in CC,giving you 6 more wounds + the 12, 13 with Runtherd). If cost is the problem take only 1 Kannon and 3 ammo runts, The effectiveness is nearly the same. They are cheap enough that taking 3 per squad wont break the bank.
Dakkajets are paper, but they make Waaagh! serve a purpose.
If you are putting your Lootas behind an ADL I would take only 10 per squad.
Your 3rd Kannon should be close to the Icarus.
I would increase the size of your boyz, Orks don't have Mob Up anymore so they will rout easily. If you want to have more fire power I would take Warbikers - Twin Linked Dakkagun are simply awesome and the Bikers will bring the focus of shots to them, instead of your gunline
