I've noticed that during a recent PM conversation, I'm not receiving notifications that I've gotten a new PM-- preveiously, it would bold "Private Messages" and change its color to gold when I received one, but now it's not.

Is that an intended change, or did I accidentally muck about with the settings to turn it off?

Probably just a login glitch. Clicking logout and login again would fix it, and clearing cache if that did not work.
