So yeah, I think I might start a work in progress thread to get a bit of feedback on my various projects, C&C is great, it helps educate and this is truly a learning experience.

Nope, not him - good guess though...

Also I just picked up a couple of Tannhäuser "Yula" minis today so that should keep me occupied for a bit after Ox is assembled. Female sergeants I was thinking...

I need superglue for poor Ox, so it will be a good while before he is ready to rumble...

Meanwhile though, I like how the Carapace armor turned out on the Bodyguard - I plan on having another guard at some point and I think I'll give him (maybe her if I find a nice mini) the same style of gear. Its the way to go when making slender figures look a little more 40k, and its great GS practice for me.

Looks like I need a good yellow or orange for Cobb's hat...

Vera looks pretty good...

Might redo the pistol though, seems likely I failed to capture its essence...

And that settles my fanboy urges for a while...

first off Ox/Harker/HB dude is ready for paint, he's my first completed sculpt ever and I'm happy with everything thus far, a couple problems but you probably won't notice unless I tell you



And a female sergeant who needs a head - I got a few nice ones coming in and a heavy flamer with some special effects in progress.

So Harker/Ox/Heavy Bolter Guy suffered extensively form shiny model syndrome thanks to a unit of Tau and a Broadside...

In other news work goes on I might get something done tonight to stay in practice and all that, had a good game apart from my first completed sculpt getting blasted in turn two...

Anyone have any ideas for future projects, I might be interested in something new...

So I stole this chaps boots (and feet) for Ox/Harker and figured I needed a project - the arm thing was just to be mean because the legs by themselves looked off.

Thoughts?

Well I actually have a decent progress report this time - not just some guy who is going for the Vader Effect... (now that I think about it )

I want my guard to have a pimped out CCS, with a little different look to it than most, first of all there are girls in a support/on call badass role. As you no doubt saw earlier I used a pair of Tannhäuser minis as the base for a bodyguard and Astropath, well now there is a man/woman bodyguard team.

At long last I have an update, its time for the 501st to get their colors...
