So the main question of this thread is about the Emperors Champion.

Can i take him as an HQ choice when i use the BT as allies? and this is a dumb question but i cant find my brb but are the ig and bt battle brothers on the ally matrix?

The FAQ states that the emperor's champion cannot be the warlord but I see no reason why he can't be the sole HQ for an allied detachment.

yea i saw that on the faq also but it also states int he book that he dont take up an hq space so im kinda stuck atm.

He is a compulsory hq at 750 points, but in an allied detachment he can be run as your hq because he technically isn't your warlord, so yeh I see no problem with that. May need a judges call in a tourney but in friendly games do it.
