I have not really been able to get my hands on the new Apocalypse Book just yet. So I have to ask. How do Orks look for Apocalypse? Are they getting any new models other then the same old same old Stompa? Like any new formations that are kinda cool or rules that might make them awesome in large points games?
I was talking to an Imperial Guard friend of mine and we were thinking that someday we should Reinact the 3rd or 4th or whatever battle of Armageddon.
Ghaskull Thraka vs Commissar Yarrik!
Unfortunately it's the same old same old for Orks; (barring the new formations). There are loads of Armageddon war battle re-enactments though, including a few with some of the notable characters like Yarrick, Ghazkgull and Von Strab who you actually field with a Nob honour guard and interesting rules like "Von Strab must DIE!!!" making his death a victory point to the imperial player.
There has been a bit of a reshuffle of the Ork Super Heavies like the Stompa though, it's now 770 from 600 but it now has interesting rules such as "STOMP" similar to tank shocking but with a lot nastier results for the recipients of said shock depending on the dice roll.
I am an ork player with the new APOC book and to be honest orks are looking like loads of fun. Jump over to FW and look at some of the super heavy walkers and Squiggoth models!
