I need suggestions on how to make the kind of table for this. I know buildings are what is needed but I want to know how and what kind of stuff I need for the base of the table!

Like how to make the entire thing looks like its a paved road or made out of whatever an imperial world like Terra ground would be made out of.

This idea you have can go one of 3 ways. Either you go all out, or you build a games store quality table, or you realize that you are in for more work than you can handle, so you quit.
For building an all out table (something to provoke envy from everyone), making most stuff from scratch is the best way to go. Styrofoam on plywood, cut, shaped and based to look like rubble, ruins, and craters. Then use plasticard and cities of death to build the city.
For a games store quality board, its a little easier. Get the 2x2 boards they offer in store, and go nuts. Its easy to find ready-made roads at hobby train stores, so all you have to do is cut off the roll, glue, and base around the edges. Right after christmas there are always little mats for sale that people use for their christmas villages. You still need the cities of death buildings, but they can be made on their own modular bases, so your city can change between each use.
Basically, are you going for this:

or this:

or lastly, this?

why not buy a FW city tile at a time? long term investment but will forever impress and Blake has aspirations to expand the range when he has time to create some more to make it a set of six. you cant really go wrong.

after working out the time and effort required and considering my own limited time to commit to the hobby with study and work prioritising, i just bit the bullet and got a set painted on commission.

if a dolphin will jump out of water for fish, just imagine what it would do for chips?

Secret Weapon Miniatures' Kickstarter for plastic tables was a big success, and one of the tables they have coming out is city streets:

I would probably just wait til those came out, honestly. They should be out within the year. If prefabricated tiles aren't your thing, you can make your own urban board by doing a gritty, grey table. Roads can either be painted on or bought/scratchbuilt separately as terrain.

A lot of good suggestions. On the first post with the links I LOVE the table there. Lots of Blocky looking stuff on the table of ruined buildings. Wondering how I could make that lol.

I think I want a combination of Two. One table FW or that Secret Weapons stuff and one I make myself and go all out.

BTW. I tried looking for that kick starters web site and I cannot find it. So how do I order that once its out if I cannot find them?
