If you're determined to run ogryns then lord commissars are an absolute must, ogryns lack the leadership to really go it alone but with a LC in tow they become a force to be reckoned with

I would ditch Company command squad, even though Nork is in there for fun fluff. Lord Commissars and even Commissar Yarrick is needed with ogryn
Have a group of 5 ogryn with Yarrick in a Chimera. Ogryn are good with Yarrick on the charge.
Other than that, it looks like fun. Just remember that ogryn don't fly.

I'd be looking to reduce the size of the ogryn units to enable them to be put in chimeras if possible. Reason being: 12" range on ripper guns is quite short obviously, chimeras add more fire-power and manoeuvrability, you will have more points to spend on your veterans, you'll have more points to spend on Lord commisars.

Good advice! How about this?
Commissar Yarrick

I think Yarrick is a must because he also doesn't execute the Bonehead. The problem is you can only have one Yarrick. I disagree with having Yarrick in the small Ogryn squad for two reasons.
A) You can't charge from a Chimera, so you have to stand there and take a bunch of fire for a turn anyways.
B) The squads that really need him are the ones on foot that are slogging up the board.
For the same cost of a Chimera, I can have a CCS walk behind the Ogryns issuing 'Move!x3' and get them across the board just as fast as a Chimera, since your running anyways. You give the CCS a Banner and they are now Re-rolling Morale/Pinning which is huge. You give the CCS camo-cloaks (since they should be getting a cover save because of the Ogryns) with plasma, melta, or CCW+pistol with body guards and have Yarrick leading the odd unit.
If you really want to be cute (and since your running this, you do), you can also buy 2 Techpriests with Power axes and Melta bombs and put them in each unit. This increases their Ld to 8, gives them that AP 2 weapon, a way to kill vehicles and MCs in CC, and gives you a second character for challenges. Priest will also get Stubborn while in the unit too. If any unit should be in Chimeras, it is this unit. I still think you want 3 squads of 10 if you can pull it off, but whatever works for you.
Side note: I am pretty confident if you buy servitors they can not join the Ogryns and can only join the Techpriest. At this time I am not going to try to figure out if you can or can not, so I will play it safe and not buy any.
If I was to make this list, this is how it would look for me...
Yarrick - 185pts
CCS - 115pts
Camo Cloaks, Regimental banner, 3x melta guns
2x Techpriests - 100pts
Melta bombs, Power Axes
7x Ogryns - 290pts
7x Ogryns - 290pts
10x Ogryns - 410pts
Vets - 165pts
Forward Sentries, 3x Plasma guns, LC
Vets - 165pts
Forward Sentries, 3x Plasma guns, LC
Vendetta - 140pts
Heavy Bolter Sponsons
Vendetta - 140pts
Heavy Bolter Sponsons
2000pts
Deployment:
Would be Vets in cover (on objective) giving covering fire. Yarrick is on one side, with the other two squads center and other side, both within 12" of the CCS. I figure you want the Ogryns in skirmish lines with the CCS behind the Center Ogryn squad.
Tactics:
I will point out that 'Fire on my Target' with the Ogryns on units in cover and 'Bring it Down!' would be the other two big Orders beside 'Move!x3'. CCS does a lot for this list IMO and gives them melta threat. Remember the CCS can issue Orders to itself as well if you ever roll snake eyes.
If anything, I hope this gives you some ideas. Good luck and have fun.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Optional troop choice... two platoons. You lose long range firepower and better survivability of the Vets for more guys to allow you to do more with the list.
PCS - 45pts (in Vendetta)
3x Flamers
PIS - 55pts (follows up the Ogryns to grabe/contest objectives)
Flamer
PIS - 65pts (rear objective holder)
AC, Flamer
165pts
If you do two Platoons, it effectively gives you 6 scoring units, two coming in with the Vendettas to make them even more dangerous, two in the rear and two following up the Ogryns so they do not have to stop on a objective. As pointed out, their range is really short and they are kinda like a steam-roller in this list that do not want to stop unless charging into melee.
I thought of this as I was making the list and I feel it is a viable option because of the scoring options the two vets don't give you, even though they give you more firepower and survivability (cover save wise).

Unfortunately Techpriests are not independent characters, so cant ever join other units. To change that alone would actually make them a viable unit.
I think running three squads of ogryn in chimeras at the opponent with three hellhounds in support would have have some merit. Maybe with a couple of primaris psykers for leadership (and biomancy/telepathy tricks).

I just read the IG FAQ, there is nothing in there that says Techpriests are not ICs. They can not be taken as HQ choices and they are the same as Ministorum Priests. So unless you have something that says otherwise, I am pretty sure your wrong. Automatically Appended Next Post: You can't have a Techpriest join a squad as a IC if he buys Servitors, because the Servitors form their own squad.

Lol, I prefer fluffy.
I'm not sure if Tech priests would be a good idea...
The footslogging units could still receive bonus from Aura of Discipline and Inspirational Hero.
Here's what I'm thinking now...
Commissar Yarrick 185
Ogryn Squad (3 Additional Ogryn) 250
Ogryn Squad 130
Ogryn Squat 130
Veteran Squad (Autocannon, Grenade Launcher) 85
Veteran Squad (Autocannon) 80
Vendetta (Heavy Bolter Sponsons) 140
I reduced the point value to 1000, but you get the idea.

Um, look at their special rules. Ministorum priests have the independent character special rule, techpriests do not.
Ogryn are fun to play unless somebody has a hard counter to them like a manticore or a vindicator. Thats why chimeras are good as they can shelter your expensive squads while you deal with with the threat.
