Hi guys and girls?
A local store is starting Warmachine and the gm has started a 15pt slow grow league.

Below is a list I have been reading up on from the books in store, I love the idea of battle Mages using gauntlets to tackle their foe.

Is this list going to work or am I completely going the wrong way?

At 15pts, most players choose to bring 2-3 Warjacks/beasts and either a small unit or a couple of solos. I don't think you are going to be able to tackle say a pair of Khador 'Jacks very well....

What would be a good list for 15pts using this faction?

Very few khador lists bring more than a single jack at this point level. In fact, I would never run more than a single heavy until 35pts unless I were using karchev. If you face a khador list with two jacks then they won't have else in the list, likely one infantry
unit that your phoenix will cook . Use the magisters to push his second heavy away and let the phoenix tackle the other one. Feed him a battle mage each turn just if that's what it takes to keep the second heavy away from your phoenix. If I were you, I would be more concerned about facing one heavy, butcher, and a pile of iron fangs at def16/arm18 that tie up your mages from over a foot away.

I have been advised that at 15pt most people will he bringing jack heavy lists.

I have been given both lists below and the models from a friend but don't know which one will work better?

By far, the second one. Kaye makes the Centurion have a 15" threat range on feat turn. That's amazing. Plus it's Mangled, which means lots of juicy targets for armor piercing.

The problem I see is when you dont face a jack only list. If it isnt mangled metal, then you wont always face all jacks all the time. Those cygnar lists will have a hard time dealing with a pbutcher infantry heavy list. A wall of Iron fangs with butcher mixed in would simply run over that list. Guess it depends on your meta, some factions will bring lots of jacks, others (like khador) probably wont and you will have a very difficult time with those.
