Hi anyone, I've just got back into Black ops 2
And was taking a look at the new Vengeance DLC.
And people were saying 'its overpriced' 'rip-off'
BUT!
I've come up with a 'solution'. The way i see it.
A DLC costs 20-21 Aussie dollars.
And the way I figure it.
If you spend at least an hour for every dollar you spend in game (in the ACTUAL DLC)
(About 21 hours) then you have entertained yourself fairly cheaply.
And can come back for more at any time...
Don't you think?

Purplefood has the right of it. I've never bought one and felt it was worth it. Only thing worthwhile out of them is the zombies and that cannot carry the price tag alone

I'm kind of annoyed actually... These maps should of been in it from the start... I just really liked the look of Uplink...

Map packs are seldom worth the money. Even in MW1, map packs were still really overpriced for what you got, and the maps often ended up being cut from release for good reason, or just remakes of old ones. That and the fact that map packs divide the community more and more with each subsequent release. They're frankly kind of toxic and not worth it unless you're REALLY enjoying the game, even after all this time.

I'm all for the 1 dollar to 1 hour standard for determining if you got your money's worth
Map packs though are troublesome for a lot of reasons. I don't necessarily mind them. I like the Halo map packs usually, but they do end up fragmenting the community between those who bought them and those who didn't.

Revolution was a better DLC as you got a gun with it.

Frankly it's still a waste even then...
Map packs are very rarely worth it but the bigger problem is, as LordOfHats said, they fragment the community.

I got the season pass so it equated to £10 for each map pack and I play the game a lot, until the xbox broke in a cloud of smoke but still, I have played over 10 hours par map pack, nearly on zombies alone so for me they're worth it

Those map packs have an insane cost-gain ratio. They sell extremely well and take little work. It's a wet economical dream.
