Hello dakka, first time posting a tutorial hope people will enjoy it. Please forgive my broken english and spelling errors in advance

I posted a while ago asking for advice on were to buy alternative Fiends of slaanesh models because I think the GW once really are horribly bad.

what I did was that I bought some tyranid ravener brood models on ebay aswell as some terminator size bases and dark eldar mandrakes (I bought enough to make 10 fiends). My main aim was to make some "drakaina" looking thing.but I wanted some men for my pure slaanesh list since I have enough women already (of course this could be made cheaper with daemonettes rather than mandrakes).

Spoiler:

begin with using the lower parts of the ravener brood and the upper part of the mandrakes, I cut with nippers carefully from both sides working my way through.
Spoiler:

to make the model durable I cut smooth surfaces on both pieces before gluing them together (in my first trial I didnt do this, now you dont need to make the same mistake)
Spoiler:

I glue them together and put on extra limbs from my bit box to make them spiky and evil and to justify all the speedy attacks they get from the rules.
Spoiler:

after this I put green stuff over the joint. I'm not yet good at making smooth green stuff surfaces but I tried my best.
Spoiler:

then I was a bit stupid and sprayed them black and forgot to do green stuff waist on them. these can really be made more beautiful if you know your green stuff, I don't so I just made thin long cylinders which I placed around them.
Spoiler:

and last I painted them up in my slaanesh army painting scheme. every image was taken with my cell phone so thats why I have the crappy quality. also my modelling skills aren't the best, the painting however is way better than it looks on pictures, but I just cant get it right so you have to believe me. I had to let the waist be black because of how coarse it is. other than the green stuff job I'm very happy with the result
