After giving up the hobby (God only knows why) almost 10 years ago, I picked it back up a couple of months ago. Been lurking a few different forums, but always end up coming back here! So I thought i'd join in, and of course introductions are customary!
Back in the day I was a fantasy Chaos player, but now getting back into the hobby i've gone down the 40K route, collecting both Dark Angels and Orks.
Hopefully I can become a decent contributing member of this forum, so yeah, hi! And if anyone from Plymouth, UK sees this then, always up for some fun/less competitive games then get in touch! Need to properly get back into gaming as well as painting!

You're rich! You're flashy! You 'ave a proppa Orky stoutness about your belly! And you've got more big, shooty, and dead 'ard gear than any 2 other Orks put together. Da uvver clans orta make way for da Bad Moons!

Welcome back, I gave up for over a decade when I joined the Royal Marines, I was actually based in Plymouth for a few years, and I've fond memories of the place!
Enjoy yourself!

@Mattyrm I'm in Barnstaple (so not far from Chivenor or Instow) If you've got any wargaming buddies that are still boot necks, and that end up here, let them know there's a decent club nearby!
@randomtoaster
Again, in Devon, and while not on your doorstep, our club is beginning to look at running regular tourneys. I appreciate you say you're looking for friendly games, but believe me, we're not a hardcore WAAC bunch in the slightest. We've got our first event on Aug 10th, check out the info in the Tournament Discussion section if you fancy a road trip!
Oh, and welcome back, I did what you've done a few years ago. Have really enjoyed connecting with old friends who are still in the hobby who I'd kinda lost touch with, and all the extra info and product that's available now is mind blowing!

Its a nice place, but I'm a proper townie me, and it was a right pain up the arse to get back to work on a Sunday!

Yeah, you need a car if you want a life!
Ilfracombe is a gak hole though, you missed out on a lot if you went no further afield.

Welcome! Aren't Da Basement Boyz from the UK? They seem pretty cool. Nice Batreps anyway.
Stay away from orks we never win, our pockets are always empty of spare cash, and our backs ache from carying around our giant collections. We endlessly troll through rumors of new releases and hover over the bitz bins looking for that perfect shoulder pad you know the one.... with the thingy on it.
Proceed with caution.

Thanks all, azreal13 yeah I might give that a look up! There could be a slight chance I might be moving to Barnstaple by the end of the year! Yeah when I say friendly, I just mean no one that makes noobs feel like crap and are horrifically strict with rules when there is clear leway *cough* GW *cough*
doktor_g, thanks, haha yeah i've been seeing this a lot recently, but I just want a fun army to play with and Orks are just that, fun, unpredictable but yeah, you need them by the bucketload!
