Looks really fun. Watched GassyMexican play the game for a few hours and it looks like it would be a fun departure from what I'm used to. Anyone played it yet? Is it worth the cash?

Well as far as I can tell it is spot on in terms of staying true to the Deadpool character mixed in with wonderful voice acting from Nolan North so it's definitely got the flavourful aspect down. However gameplay wise it leaves a lot to be desired because for the most part it is very repetitive particularly in the way that there are rehashed enemies over and over even in the later boss battles. Also because of this there is very little replay value after you're done. Are you getting it on console or PC? In either case, in particular PC, I would suggest you wait a bit before you buy it so you can get it when the price goes down or when it's on sale like on Steam's periodical discount sales.

I'd wait for it to drop to ~20$.

Yeah, I love the game, but unless you are a huge DP fan, I'd wait a bit till the price goes down.

The game is great for its humor, the action is pretty decent, and the extras within the game are a nice touch.

Thats about right, if you've played ninja gaiden you can pretty much unlock everything you could possibly want in the first few maps, lowish replayability and it gets extremely repetitive near the end, where i'm guessing they were running out of funding and the jokes get sparse, it also isn't very long.

The jokes are pretty good, I esp. love the part in the beginning where he's trying to fight a C list villian that he's constantly complaining about getting such bad villians for his video game, but anyways she makes people dizzy, so he spends the entire "battle" gratuitously vomiting everywhere

Devil May Cry with DeadPool as the character. If you like that style game, and you get to be a dick, you'll love it. It is funny as hell.

Glad I read this before I bought it. Everyone loves the Merc with a Mouth, but I had my doubts about the actual game play. Looks like I'll wait!

Also, I'm kinda surprised that it's not getting the best ratings considering High Moon Studios did an amazing job on Transformers: Fall of Cybertron and War for Cybertron.

I got a used copy for $23 after tax, and I love it! The gameplay is simple, but in a good way-no crazy ass button configs for combos, the attitude is classic Deadpool from the 90s, not the crap they've been dishing out lately (minus his stint in X-Force), and the story...well, for him it works 100%. For any other video game I'd be going "what the hell?!" But for a Deadpool game, I think they made it spot on. I haven't had a complaint yet, but man did the fight against Arclight, Blockbuster, and Vertigo at the same time suck hard.
