Hey Everyone,
I have been having a small problem. I fell in love with the Storm Wardens space marine chapter from the Death Watch rpg and wanted to have my own Storm Warden Army. I typically play Orks, but now want space marines. I have been having a bit of trouble finding/modeling the Storm Warden logo and shield. I want to put it on all my vehicles and space marine shoulder pads. I was hoping someone could help me either construct my own or point me into the right direction so that I could have them made, etc. Any help to realize my Storm Warden chapter will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Respectfully,m

Here's the Storm Warden I made for the Killteam painting challenge.

The shield is really easy to sculpt once you get the hang of it. You could also make a push mould to use with shoulderpads.
Empire greatswords are great for sacris-claymores and the command squad box has some good pieces for Storm Wardens.
The lightning bolt symbol is really easy to freehand.

Some inspiration can be found here:

http://davetaylorminiatures.blogspot.fi/2010/06/great-storm-wardens-collaborative-army.html (Most of Dave's Storm Wardens stuff is from June 2010.)

Hope this helps.

Thanks Igandris,
I have found both sites, unfortunately it was well after the give-away, and it seems there is not blogs on how they actually got the work done. A shame really. I think there is a market for Storm Wardens, If I can just get GW to realize that Terra, and the Jericho Reach will be much better places!

Thanks for the images. The shield on the shoulder pad looks painstakingly slow to have make. Any thoughts or ideas on what you did, and possible resin mould ideas? Thanks for helping out.

Here's the basic principle for making shields.

Did it in a hurry so it came out a bit big and ugly.
Flatten and smooth putty, cut out the basic shape, use something to stamp the holes in the sides (I used a Chupa Chups stick) and make final adjustments...
Hope this helps.
