So, I was reading through my 'dex planning my Khorne daemons allies...and I noticed that both the Blade of Blood and the Etherblade have the Specialist weapon special rule. So, could I give a Bloodthirster both weapons for the +1 attack?

Not sure if this is legal, but I don't see anything that says it isn't. Am I right or am I missing something important?

You are right - the Specialist Weapon rule only cares that you have two weapons with the rule. It does not require both of the weapons to be the same.

Also, remember that the Bloodthirster already has an Axe of Khorne, which is also a Specialist Weapon.

Ah, forgot about the Axe. So doing this on a Bloodthirster would be rather silly...however on a daemon prince it could be worthwhile.

Also thanks for the answer

If you're going to use Magic Weapons on a DP, then go with either the Staff of Change (Tzeentch) or the Lash of Despair (Slaanesh) IMO. Base Str 8 in combat, or 2D6 Str 6+Iron Arm Skyfire shooting.

For Khorne, I find the Blade of Blood better than a plain etherblade. You'll always be outnumbered anyways, charging with multiple units is a recipe to disaster thanks to Instability.

Agreed; the Blade of Blood is the better Greater Magic Weapon for the Bloodthirster.

A regular Etherblade is ok if you don't have points for a Greater Reward, just to get the extra attack.
