I have painted at least 5 different Grey Knight armies over the years... in many different colors.

Let's start this off with a few images:

Since my training (and normal artwork) was in watercolors and pastels, I always painted NMM.

I have used metallics on terrain pieces... and a few select minis. It is possible that I will be using the metallics again on another project, so I will be sure to post images when that happens!

The grays and darks work so well with the oranges and reds, excellent execution of an excellent color scheme.

Freakin' amazing. I don't understand how people do this. I'd love to just sit and watch someone paint like this to just understand how it's done. I don't UNDERSTAND how to do this! So frustrating!

Thanks for the kind words!

For the time being, I do have a lot of step by step posts on the blog. You have some on the top bar, but there are dozens embedded in the rest of the posts. Many of them are in the basing section as well!

Wow just amazing. The red marble is exquisite and those statue's looks sweet. Would love to have one of those to put on the corner of my desk!

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless and perfunctory gift nobody ever asked for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down because there's nothing left to drink. Sure once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or a English toffee, but they're gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat those all you've got left is a. An empty box, filled with useless brown paper wrappers.

Take heart, since it took many years and thousands of minis to learn all the stuff I am doing now.

What is very neat is the fact that I continue to learn new stuff every day. There is always a new problem to solves, a new challenge. I guess that's why I like the painting so much!!!

Here's an old BC Stern that I did a while back...
