Ok so I play the reviled green skins. I'm playing a tide list at 2k. Here it is. I know it's not "viable" blah blah blah I want to just not get tabled in this game.

Here it is:
HQ: BM w/ KFF Cybork
Troops: 3x30 Shootas (9 Rokits) 3x Nob w/PK & BP
Troops: 3x30 Sluggas (3 Rokits, 6 Big Shootas) 3x Nob w/PK & BP
Heavy: 3x3 Kanz (3 Rokits, 3 Grotzookas, 3 Skorchas)
That's it.

Any strategy tips for this list on H&A/PtA? I'm concerned I'll get crushed with a squashed deployment. I am thinking fighting a war of attrition and keeping 50% in reserve and go for what my friend called a "Green Trickle."

Thanks fellas.

Well you have alot of boyz, but without a little speed or range I think you will just spend 4 turns walking and running your guys before they are all destroyed. The only way we win is if we can reach out and touch the enemy either with a bullet or a choppa, with your list unless you make them come to you I cant see a win.

Who are you facing?

I would say drop the special weapons on the slugga boyz, but you've probably heard it a million times and want to go with them anyway.

In hammer and anvil, the "green trickle" might not work so well, considering they have a long way to walk after coming in from your board edge, and you'll want all the killing power you can get in purge the alien.

The Kanz are going to get slaughtered if you go for a Kan wall, even with the kff. You'll probably have to keep them on the flanks, which is sad, but if you don't you're practically giving your opponent 3 VPs.

Try to use the slugga boyz to take any focus from the shoota boyz (since the shoota boyz will probably be doing the most out of the two).

Other than that, rush forward, focus one unit at a time, and hope for the best.

That's my two cents (take it with a grain of salt, though. I'm very new, as you can see )

@Crawdadr: Love your Avatar! So you think start with them all on? I suspect I'd face Chaos Daemons or Marines, Eldar or Tau.

@Xephen: I think that you are probably right on. Especially with the flank. I try to keep my boyz away from the Kanz as they are like little suicide bombers that go off to early in my own lines!

Honestly, I would probabbly pack the deployment zone and be sure to get atleast one boy from each squad under the KFF to survive that turn 1 shooting if you go second, or if you go first use the movement phase to expand down the board that extra 6-12 inches will let you start to spread the out from the Blast.

At 2000 points, I have been having success with my Green Tide by taking Mad Dok Grotsnik and putting him in the first mob, then stretch that mob across the other mobs to give them cover. If I take a KFF Big Mek, I don't give the Dok's boys Cybork, otherwise I do. Either way, the Dok's mob has 5+(+) and FNP, and the mobs behind have 5+ cover. To threaten at range, I take Lootas and a Warboss on a bike. I stick him on the flank of one of the rear mobs. They are his meatshield until he get close enough to shoot forward and wreck stuff. He is such a threat that your opponent will have to make adjustments.

As for the Kills Kanz, I have stopped running them since they are so easily put down.

I don't write the rules. My ego just lives and dies by them one model at a time.

Yes you should most likely start with almost everything on the table. If you can get them into the list a small unit of grechin could start in reserve with the sole purpose of holding a backfield objective. THis would allow you to take one of thsoe slugga mobbs and turn it into something from the elite section like lootas or maybe (I know this is wierd) you could infiltrate some Kommandos.

I would deploy everything on the table. Reserving sounds like a bad idea.
