Mephiston will be in the stormraven with biomancy, the death company will take up shots, the assault squads will go and score objectives, and the scouts will sit behind cover and also score objectives.

Please tell me what you guys think and give suggestions!

I think you're dangerously thin on scoring units after sinking so many points in Death Company.

In my experience DC are better in theory than practice -- because you're using them in this list primarily to be a sponge, and FNP isn't reliable enough to do that.

Look at it this way: For the 400 points you're sinking in that DC you could have 10 TH/SS terminators. If you're wanting a sponge there it is.

You don't mention jump packs on the DC, but if you want jumpers then you could spend 400 points on SG instead. Two five man units, so you're losing model count -- but they can jump, need AP2 weapons to kill them, you're getting 10 power weapons vs. 4 and I'd throw that priest with them and basically get a better version of the death company.

Furthermore, you have a free delivery system for the SG thought DS, rather than slogging the DC.

Can I ask why you're swapping out Mephiston's powers? Are you aware that you only get to roll twice if you do this?

Also, by using the SR as a transport for him you're keeping him off the board for at least one turn. Mephie works best when you play him boldly like a MC, rather than handle him with kid gloves. He can earn back his points, but he needs to be in the thick of killing ASAP.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Death Company and they're some of my favorite fluff units in the book -- but they're prohibitively expensive for what you get back.

Plus if someone spoiling assaults them with decent HTH units, the DC are very meh.

Truthfully, that much DC without a LR is kinda..... Ridiculous. Maybe cut down on some upgrades and a few dudes to get em a decent delivery system?

Also, I think AC are better than PC on the Stormraven.

It would be better just to get some TH/SS termies in a LR instead of the DC, in my opinion. Find 50 more points and put 5 TH/SS termies in a LRC with a SP. Much more efficient.

I usually take the lascannon on the stormraven, but the AC is better against many lists. I just like high STR (or ignores cover) in my heavy slots with the BA. And I don't trust HP stripping vs the helldrake. I want that explodes.
