I have recently striped and repainted my old Delaque gang for Necromunda for a possible campaign run out in the near future with a few Dakkanauts. It's all GW models except Stoofa the juve, he's from Heresy Miniatures.
There's no conversion work but Panic supplied me with some excellent Forgecraft waterworks bases which we are using for all gangs in the campaign.
I started with a base primer of Vallejo grey polyurethane primer over which I applied devlin mud. This helps me both distinguish the details and works as a sporisingly good base coat for metal items like guns etc. Indeed most of the guns here only received a further wash of Badab Black to be finished.
Main colours are W&N Galleria Paynes Grey (up to Charandon Grey highlight) or GW foundation paints.
The bases are done with paper stripes for the edging. Not my first choice method but it's impossible to paint them - I tried for 2 weeks! I think it has something to do with the shape (angles straight lines on part of a cone is not something your brain will handle too well!). Fortunately some bight chap on WargamerAU created a template for 180 degree fire arcs on bases, so I took this and played about with a printer until it was the right thickness and centres. The top of the bases are painted in Deneb Stone with a light Devlin Mud wash and highlights. The water/effluent is a mix of Leviathan purple and gloss varnish to about 6 coats.
Leader, Heavy and Ganger.

Juves.

It's unreal how much I love the caution stripes on the bases. The only issue I can see is that those bases really overshadow the models themselves - they're very attention grabbing (imagine that ) and the models are decidedly muted, but still well painted.

Well it was quite a conscious decision in the end as I always seem to paint quite muted paint schemes. Sure enough with out realising it I decided on black trenchcoats. So rather than repaint I went for the hazard stripe bases with some added colour to the seams and linings to add a bit of interest for the eye. Natch being bright yellow (although weathered) it does tend to draw the eye more. I was thinking about some head tattoos to balance it out but am mulling it over. My art teacher always said half the job is knowing when to put the brush down.

Great looking gang!
They look really to fight all the hazards of the underhive! You can probably put the brush down now. I think...
