That's why they los. Also no one is going to run terminators at 500 points and if they do, they'll get 5 at most they still need to pay for a hq and two troops.

Thus list kills it at 500 points. All the negative comments ate just from salty people

I would like a battle report to learn about his local meta. Cron air, ig vendetta spam, and any jet fighter list will be hard counters, but his meta may or may not be saturated with those players. He might get luck & fight foot slogging MEq&GEq.

Slapping on 2 drakes on to a bare minimum list is like a complete mockery of the CSM codex, because it is making a statement that nothing else is worth taking. At this point daly, you may aswell expand into 750pt by adding a 3rd drake and spend 80pts on more cultists or a single marked oblit or predator.

If someone brings Broadsides (Missiles), you're screwed.

We can make hard counters all day at this list because it was ment to be unbalanced and gimicky, but what is more important is to know how why does daly have to go around spamming 2 or more drakes for every critcism and why he think 2 drakes added on to any bad-to subpar list instantly makes it competitive.

Daly stop wasting time, I know you have these models so go out there and try to win a tourney with this list and give us a few battle reports.

I would not change anything on your list. I think it is ready to win a tourney. Enter the soonest 500pt tourney and please let me know how it goes against each opponent you face.

How is this a troll topic? It's easy to see a list and purposely Taylor against it, in a tourney however, that's not going to happen. I still am curious why you think this is a troll thread?

In a tourney I assume everyone is trying to cheese as much as they can.

In a tiny game I aim to take to go low model count as possible, and sticking split-fire terminators in my opponents' face turn one and hoping for failed leadership defines that. So I'm not sure it's taylor made because of your 500 pt drake spam.

I'm actually very rarely rude to people. Also just assuming things makes you look like an idiot. You write here's a 495 pt counter to my list. That implies list tailoring. If you really did bring that list to a tourney you'd get your doors blown off.

- All comers tournament capable with strong matchups against everything except a landraider,

- This list it has excellent movement and a solid chance to table your cultists before the Heldrakes arrive, especially if Eldar has first turn. You can say Line of Sight all you want, but it is really hard to hide from 12 inch strafe + shoot tanks, especially when their shield bursts ignore cover!

- If your cultists survive, the Serpents will not be on your table half, so you will not be able to vector strike the turn your Drakes come on. You could baleflamer, and maybe get a hullpoint off a single wave serpent.

- After that the Serpents move behind your Drakes, and blast into rear armour with laser lock. Even if you do pull off some vector strikes you still need a 5+ to take a hullpoint, Serpents are a bit more durable than Rhinos and Chimera.

The classic space marine lol list. You have absolutely nothing that can hope to defeat the Land Raider, and if those tl las cannons connect your Drakes will be hurting. Sure you will own the scout squad outside the Raider, but thats just one killpoint.

The double Heldrake list is strong against certain opponents, but there are other relatively common builds which counter it at the 500 point competitive level.

Also just for good measure
Company Command Squad- Officer of the Fleet or Astropath. Depending on if Bastion is run or 2 Vendettas
Veteran Squad- 3 Flamers
Veteran Squad- Auto Cannon
Vendetta
Bastion- Quad Gun (or second vendetta)

If you're playing with the 'HQ and 2 Troop' requirement at 500 points, you're doing it wrong. The game just doesn't function in any sort of balanced way at points levels that small.

To who ever someone is a buthurt may be, this is what I consider a very immature and rude response to everyone elses comments and criticism. Although you open this thread to discussion you do not own the discussion as anyone interested in wanting to say anything can post. If you truly owned this thread then simply delete it or move on to playing your list and stop wasting your time as there is no room to improve the list. you find it amusing to flaunt your two drakes around and that is why people talk to you the way they do.

I really want to hear the performance of this list, please do me a favor and post battle reports.

Except that most good 500 point lists are going to table you before the Drakes come in, with near certainty if the opponent gets first turn...

- Wave Serpents with 12 inch move and shoot and cover ignoring shield bursts will kill your cultists and sorcerer in 2 turns or less, and potentially can outmaneuver the Heldrakes to avoid Vector Striking with a solid number of tl shots into rear armour.

- Huron CSM builds can infiltrate 2 Squads of CSM into your face, 2 squads of 10 CSM will almost certainly wipe out your Sorc + 20 cultists by the top of turn 2, before the Drakes come in on the bottom.

- Imperial Guard will simply shoot the Heldrakes out of the sky with a Vendetta.

- Tau will just shoot down your Heldrakes with Broadsides, and Heldrakes have a tough time hurting Broadsides to boot.

- Space Mariens can bring a land raider which you cannot handle.

- Orcs can cram in over 60 boyz. With proper unit spacing they can just outlast your Drakes and win on objectives.

- Venom Spam will cut through 20 Cultists long before the Drakes come in...

At the end of the day, double drake is pretty weak against most common good All Comers lists. You would be much better off at this points level bringing a single Heldrake, and patching some weaknesses to the aforementioned opponents. 20 Cultists are just dead weight.
