I'm really torn between taking Divination which I ALWAYS use and have found to be quite good and Pyromancy, which I havent used as often but also really like. I haven't messed with any of the other trees available to him yet.

The list I'm taking him in is pretty standard--some Terminators, 3 10-man tac squads, 6 bikers, and a dreadnought. The army is pretty shooty and theres a fair bit of plasma in there. Considering that the list is shooty I stand to gain a lot from the rerolls I get in Divination, but I also like the survivability and damage output of the Pyro. powers like Fiery Presence (I think thats what its called..) and Spontaneous Combustion. Like I said..I'm having a hard time deciding--any tips would be great.

Thanks,

Esko

My favorite psychic power ever is psychic shriek. Maybe its because I play tau a lot (with riptide support) but I love having that one guy that can decimate whole squads (granted small squads). In fact my last game ended with my two librarians psychic shrieking an entire stealth suit squad off an objective and killed his riptide getting me a victory.

Most of the time my Ravenwing Librarian uses Psychic Shriek and prescience.

Psychic Shriek and Prescience is always a good time. Definitely try the telepathy table. It's loads of fun and can be quite devastating.

I killed a squad of assault terminators, to the man, with a Hallucinate one time. Sure, total outlier, but insane.

Another game my Sorcerer used Dominate and Hallucinate to hold two Lords of Change in place for two consecutive turns. Again, another outlier, but aren't those the ones we remember?

I love telepathy, it's fantastic.

I dont really like pyro, a libby in my mind is most effective when used to buff others. If he is walking I will go prescience all the way, on a bike I will go telepathy (because bikes are already twin linked) and roll for psychic shriek and invisibility.
