hi all, long time, no post

Planning a semi-competitive list with units I think I would like to play for a local game group and possibly a tournament next June (I have to paint this stuff up yet).
I've also been reading jy2's battle reports and getting some ideas.
Let me know what you think!

Farseer, EJB, Mantle, Spear.
Spiritseer

5 Wraithguard
Wave Serpent, Holo, Vectored, Scatter

5 Wraithguard
Wave Serpent, Holo, Vectored, Scatter

10 Dire Avengers
Wave Serpent, Holo, Scatter

10 Guardians, Starcannon
Wave Serpent, Holo, Scatter

10 Warp Spiders

Comes to 1500 even, if my math is correct.
General plan is to divide and conquer with the Serpents doing much of the work. Stick the GhostSnakes (tm) - Wraith Guard in Serpents - on the side edges and run them to the opposite side as quickly as possible for flank shots and generally annoy my opponents' deployment zone. If the serpent is shot down, my opponent will now have to deal with a Wraith unit in their deployment zone. I may change their scatters to lances, haven't decided. Avengers/Guardians stay near home, moving and shooting as much as possible. Farseer and spiders fill in where necessary. Spiritseer just joins his GhostBuddies (tm)... he's more of a tax than anything, just paying to make the Wraiths a troop unit and buff them when possible.
Thoughts?

Wait let me get this straight... You pay for 320 points of wraith... An don't plan on unloading them??? And then paid 70 more points to buff them with spirit sear... But the only time their going out of the transport is if it's shot down???

Not the best idea.
I am currently running a similar list, exept my wraith guard have d scythes and well some big changes actually but we both are using 4 serpents and 2 squads of wraith guard. I love wraith guard, but fund their better with d scythes ( and a plan )

I have found that the scatter laser comba has worked far better than the BL combo, trying them vs everything... Orks, terminators, marines, tyranid flying creature, light vehicles, ork vehicles, medium vehicles, and heavy ones, and even fliers. The scatter lasers won on al exept heavy vehicles (av13-14) even against av 12 scatters are better.

I do drugs.
Mostly Plastic Crack, but I do dabble in Cardboard Cocaine.

Never said I wasn't going to unload them. Simply get them to the other side of the board on my first turn. If (on my opponents following turn) they're ignored while there, the serpents will advance and unload the Wguard at opportune targets. If the serpents are shot down while over there, then my opponent still has to deal with some tough troops in his deployment zone giving me line breaker... my opponent can either exhaust resources trying to deal with them, or let me rummage about in his deployment. If my opponent spends resources chasing them down, my opponent is spreading themselves out, making it easier for me to pick apart their army.

I don't have another 50 points for a unit with D-Scythes... yet... I have been considering them though.
