Hi all Its been a long time since i last picked up a brush and paints to paint some figures and thought I would post the first stuff after being away from painting for well over 30 years.

I bought some Chaos Beastmen (broo to me ) from ebay and went about the process of striping and renovating them . Tried Dettol first to strip and was not good, then tried some Bleach, in the ended up using Brake fluid to clean off that did the job. Lots of scraping drilling and cleaning up prior to paint. Changed some of the stock weapons and shields. Have applied custom decals ( lots of chaos signs ) and add after shading with airbrush to give a dark brooding looking (first time trying that, did black instead of brown for lots of contrast.

And here's the unit from side views.

Would like to hear what people think , and how I could improve after being away for such a long time from the figure craft. This isnt a progress. As they are finished.

Regards.

Honestly, they look amazing. You've got some intricate detail work going on here and very nice highlights. I guess if you want to "improve" your already above table-top standard quality then I would say highlight the metallic parts a little bit to make them pop more and cover the top of your bases with flock to where no black is showing and maybe paint the sides of the base a color that doesn't detract from the model.

cheers will take that onboard about the bases. With the weapons used black, blue base with a metal colour with little amount of black wash. Didn't want to get to bright with dull looking weapons but think next time i'll add some more highlight cheers
