Those are really nicely painted .......... But please please paint the berets MAROON not RED.

. I'm ex British Airborne and it really twists my nuts when I see red berets on Para models as they are only used by our military police ( monkeys ) not airborne.

Sorry for being pedantic but we Paras are damn proud of the maroon beret as it takes a lot to earn ..

Completely understandable. The next time I will go with Maroon, I am thinking P3 Sanguine base would work for that. If you check out the West Wind site the they look pretty darn red.

I am not familiar with P3 paints tbh so I cant comment.

I mix my own maroon by adding a little blue to red.

There is a story about the reason Airborne chose maroon is the mix .... blue of the sky and red of blood but depending on who you talk to its either gospel or bull.

If you look at my other posts my Stormbhoyz and SM captain have examples of maroon on them.
