Hey all, just thought I'd share my latest finished army!
I wanted to create a Loganwing force for a bit of fun, but as I've always hated the traditional Space Wolf grey I opted for something a bit different. Dark metal and red seemed appealing and scary, so I decided on creating the Wolf Guard of an old Great Wolf before Grimnar, originally from the Iron Wolf company. I discovered not long after that I wasn't the first to have such an idea. I better credit Garuss Acine (http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/images-10429-1212_Iron%20Wolves.html) and the fantastic Insaniak (http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/images-99-25389_Iron%20Wolves.html) for getting there before me, haha.
These fine fellows have been a bit of a labour of love for me over the months. I've immensely enjoyed creating individual characters and having a story emerge around them through games.

The pictures ended up a little fuzzy because of their size when uploaded to Dakka, sorry about that . I suggest zooming in using the gallery if your inclined to! Some slightly better photos can be found on my Tumblr: http://homeslicedotjpeg.tumblr.com/

Thanks gang!

I'm not a huge fan of the SW colour scheme either, and I like these colours a lot; even if they do make me think of CSM.

I like the rusting and the fact they're on ice world bases, makes them feel slightly cut off from the pack? I love weathering too much

Really nice work!

I much prefer these colors to the normal Space Wolves. I think you have a great looking force here!

Nice color scheme and painting. Reminds me of Steele Wolves from Mechwarrior: Dark Age.(in a very good way, and looks great on these models)
