First model ive painted!
Don't be too harsh! i'm currentlyusing 9 year old paints(checked the steel minis and they had 04 on it, which was the first time i tried hobbying ) and they are a bit dry i think because they have a bit of hard nuggets in them!
I'm busy with what colors my chapter is going to use and this aint going to be the choice, i'd like something a bit more grimy!

I quickly improvised the base as i have no real base products but it didnt tipurn out too bad.. Imo(i have extremely low standarts haha)
Just mashed some chalk to act as rock

C&C much appreciated!

Ps: sorry for picture i have a bad camera on my ipad :(

Pretty excellent for a first miniature. Would be nice to see a crisper picture though to offer some thoughtful critique.

All I would suggest is using GW paints, not because they are necessarily better. Just easy to get hold of, are intended for their miniatures, and keeps painting consistent across your whole army.

I'm quite a casual painter myself though, perhaps someone else knows of better paints to use.

I am planning on buying the GW paints but as for now i'm a bit low on mney and still figuring out on what color scheme i'm going to use, so im going to wait with that untill I have a color scheme i want to stick to.
Also my current paint sometimes removes the paint that is below it, any clue on what causes that?

I'd say don't buy any GW paints, vallejo and army painter are among those that offer more paint for less money without any drop in quality. The only exceptions to this are GW base paints and shades.

MIni looks like a good start, a wash and highlight would take it a step or two up.

I tried to wash it by thinning down black with water but it got a bit messy, decided to wait with that till ive got a good product for that
