Over 9 years, I've accumulated, assembled and painted about 10k worth of 40k. From a couple flyers, a few LandRaiders, and the corresponding infantry. They're all stored in many of the GW boxes they came in, in foam trays made for models. Boxes are on different shelves in the garage. It's not the best system as I have to label boxes otherwise I forget where some items are and ... as an example, I just found some WraithLord/eldar guns that I might use for a conversion. I haven't seen it for a year.

My Q for the community, does anyone have a *really* nice, inexpensive system for storing so much crap? I have the space, but going to IKEA for garage shelving just seems silly. Items ought to remain in boxes, as the garage manages to gather more dust than you'd readily believe.

I'll mention that I'm not a 'display' kind of guy, nor are my models that well painted anyway.

I use KR Multicase card cases, and they're stocked up full of models. They store easily, stack easily, and I can put them in a backpack when I want to bring them to a game. I swear by their stuff.
