I have been playing warmachine for about a year now I think. And i wanted to learn the fury mechanics and have a hordes army. currently i have a cygnar and searforge army. but I decided to go with absylonia for my warlock. I just need some advice on making a list for her. I want to have a raek at least. aside from that I am 100% open to suggestions . thanks

Happy war gaming to all and to all a good fight

Take this tier list for maximum fun :

Points: 35/35
Tiers: 4
Absylonia, Terror of Everblight (*5pts)
* Raek (4pts)
* Shredder (2pts)
* Shredder (2pts)
* Shredder (2pts)
* Carnivean (10pts)
* Typhon (11pts)
Spawning Vessel (Leader and 5 Grunts) (3pts)
The Forsaken (2pts)
The Forsaken (2pts)
The Forsaken (2pts)

Your friends are going to tremble of fear if you bring this to the table.

Use the shredder on lesser targets to boost your Pool to bring further shredders. Tenacity + Rabid is sick. With three Forsaken, fury control is't a problem, and your opponent will be afraid to maneuver around them. The Carnivean and Typhon are just BA with Absy buffs. Raek gives Parry to Absy to help her be sneaky for an assasination run.

I hope this helped you.

Just wanted to chime in on this part, Raek's animus that gives him Parry is SELF ... unless I'm far too tired and overlooking something.

Means Abby has to cast it as a spell.

Q: What do you call a Dinosaur Handpuppet?

A: A Maniraptor

As others have said, Absylonia's tier lists are perfect for her... Stick to them as they are almost fire-and-forget. Its a small force on numbers, but my wife has rocked face at events with Abby, 3 Heavy Beasts (your choice... really, Typhon is a good fit for her buffs), some Shredders (the tier bonus lets them disrupt the early game like crazy), and the prerequisite Shepherds and Forsaken... You even have a few points to play with. Its a focused, but very, very tough list, and her feat means she can win wars of attrition if played well.

Another option, pull one heavy and go for a full Swordsmen + Abbot/Champion unit, if you feel like your matchups locally demand having some more numbers on the table.
