Hi, my friend gave me this army at the weekend, he doesn't play space marines any more and I wanted to know if this was any good to take to my games workshop on the weekend for a campaign game...

My opinions:
* You equip your Baal Pred wrong, get Assault Cannon/HB SS.
* If you only bring 1 Baal, it'll be an easy target.
* I assume you bring the Priests with your Assault Marines (since you give them Jump Pack), that way, I think they are way to expensive for 5 Assault Marines each.
* Personally, I wouldn't bring Rhinos in BA army. They are easy to kill and isn't worth the cost. This way, I would prefer to bring Assault Marines in your transports (they are better up front, which I guess you plan on taking your Rhinos - and they make your dedicated transports cheaper)

To be honest it is a total mess. Tac squads have no place in a BA army. 5 man Assault squads do nothing. I'm guessing Gabrielle goes with the DC in the spare slot meaning you have 500 points in an AV11 hull that it can't assault out of..
Literally nothing in here is well thought out.

Cough... I still use tac squads in some lists. Shooting is just that much better in 6th edition.
That being said, this list has no focus at all and spends too much on overpriced ICs for starters.

Assault Marines are a better buy than Tacticals for BAs. Run them in full squads, A couple with Meltas/PF, and one with Flamers and PW. I would trade in Seth for a JP Librarian, or just dump him from this list. The Death Co. are very expensive, and I don't normally use them. When I do, I always run Jump packs, with a Fist or two, and upgrade to Lemartes. He's a beast if you can put a wound on him and not kill him outright. They should be a good bullet magnet for the turn or two they survive racing across the battlefield. I'd drop the Baal, and grab a couple MM attack bikes, and a Sang Priest on a bike attached.. If you run the Dread, put him in a pod, he'll have trouble surviving to get into HtH. You'll probably want an ADL w/ Quad gun for fliers..
