Yeah, this is a bit in advance.

But I need the 'extra' time to make sure I'll be ready!

So, it will probably be a 250 point/5 SWC tournament, and I'll be fielding either a vanilla PanO force (for the Jotum!), or a CA Morat Sectorial (for the Raicho!).

You're allowed to have two lists, and you can determine which list to bring once you see who you'll be facing.

Option 1: PanO

Other than Obvious Lt. is Obvious, any glaring issues?

I could drop the Bagh Mari and 1 Palbot and add in a Nissei Sniper. Maybe for the List 2 option here?

Are you sure you are allowed two lists for completely different factions? That seems a bit weird.

Also its kinda obvious that your AD is a hacker

For what you do not account for is this: The mid-winter release of the Morat starter box.

And I think something incredible would have to happen for the restriction:

Both army lists must be of the same Army or Sectoral. For example you may have two Aleph lists or two Steel Phalanx Sectoral lists, not one of each.

I am trying to decide on whether to bring PanO Jotum OR Morat Raicho based list - one or the other!

Then, my second list will be a slight variation off the original!

Is there a painting requirement? Which list is easier to paint, if either, might be a factor, too

The local players hate Morats with a passion, I'm not sure why (something about "viral ammunition"...?). So, although the Raicho model is very cool, that makes my vote PanO

I don´t think Morats use Viral Ammo at all, these are Tohaa. I would go for the Morat, there you also have a nice link. But I´d change the Lieutenant with something else. Let me think...

Advantages to the Morat list:

Morats! Like the "Religious" troop - Loss of Lt. is a bit less painful for them. Plus they have a higher retreat threshold.

Option to have a "link team" - and all the benefits therein.

Disadvantages for the Morat List:

Obvious Lt.

Lt. that costs 2 SWC!

Hard to fit all the 'necessary' things in the list while trying to keep the Raicho in.

No hacker.

Advantages for the PanO list:

JOTUM!

Fairly diverse list, with a hacker, an engineer and a nice Total Reaction backfield protector.

Disadvantages for the PanO list:

Obvious Lt.

No link team options.

They'll both be about the same 'paint difficulty', and I'd still have to paint a few extra figures in make each lists' "Option 2" as well.

Concerning the "No Hacker" comment for Morats, I'm confused.

That model's still in the sectoral list. It's your own fault for not having a hacker.

I can see I'm going to have to be super-specific in here!

There's no hacker in my Morat list because I don't have the SWC for one - to free some up, I'd have to drop some punch from the list - not sure I can 'afford' to do that.

And by 'afford' I mean 'sacrifice hitting power for the potential havoc a hacker can cause'.

Why are you trying to tie yourself down to one specific list when you're being allowed to have two?

Even if you're trying to avoid having to buy, paint, and assemble two completely different forces, you should still be keeping your options open.

I'm not sure what your confusion is here - sorry!

I'm trying to determine which army to take - PanO w/ a Jotum or Morat w/ a Raicho.

Once that decision is made, I'll work on the 'Option 2' list for the main list.

Unless I'm missing what you're missing?
