Hi there,
a friend of mine gave me some Esher minis to get me into the game. He knew I would have to paint them and when I paint I start to build terrain and play the game... and so on. Now, some weeks later I bought about 20 miniatures, started building terrain and I´d like to shre it with you....


I´ll start with the Eshers:



















I´m not in love with the Esher leader, so I searched around to find a nice figure (I gave her Chainsword and Plasma Pistol). I found Mad Puppet Miniatures and their lovely stuff and bought this beauty:



Took of her two swords and exchanged them with chainsword and Plasma Pistol and there she was. Right now I´m basing my stuff and started building terrain...





then i thought my Esher would be lonely without any enemy and bought a bunch of models from EM4-Miniatures. They got a lot of postapocalyptic minitures. I wanted to build a band of Hive scum, lowest of the low. Now the R.A.T.S. (Radical Anarchistic Terror Squad) are ready to b painted...this one will become their Leader: Dr.Who




I don´t like the gothic look of GW so I´ll try to build more generic rusted industrial Sci-fi terrain I can also use in my favourite game Infinity. All of my terrain should be made of stuff I got at home, trash and old boxes and so on to get not too pricy...
I´ll show this in later posts...

All of this is WIP but I like the direction it takes...I´m testing rust effects to get it destroyed and shabby as much as I can. It´s almost made of home material, I´ll add cables and some detail later. The towers are made of foam tiles and paper...

Terrain looks good to me sofar. You can't go wrong with using home materials, terrain doesn't have to be expensive.

The tape for drywall sheets (Trockenbau Blatt) is a very useful material. Looking forward to some more terrain

Thanks. Yes I love The tape. It's easy use and has a great effect in the parts I build. I Habs a lot oft terrain here. I bought some MAS and other laser cut terrain for Infinity. But this Loks very clean and doesn't fit to the Underhive.

Looking great thus far. Where did you get the R.A.T.S. leader figure from?

Thanks. It' s Form EM4 miniatures. They soll The old Grenadier Future Warriors from the 90s when I was young and played their old game Killzone.

Great pain jobs on the Escher, and I think I'm going to steal that leader of yours, if not for a leader, then as a young Mad Donna, cause she's got the look on her face of a deranged lunatic.

Yes. She's looking like a maniac. Be careful she's a bit taller than the Jens Godwin sculpts oft the Escher...

Of course. Just wanted you to know about. I was a bit disapointed. But it´s a nice sculpted mini, thought about ordering more of their stuff. They have some funny things there...

Nice to see you do Necromunda, and Terrain too, although I hope it doesn't distract you too much from that awesome Infinity stuff of yours!

The Eschers and Scum look great, shame about the leader but it's a great looking miniature and I find it easy to believe she is a bit of a mutant. Normally I prefer my Necromunda terrain a bit more gothic but you've captured quite a refreshing look which is convincing me otherwise.

Always happy to see another Necromunda player cranking out quality work. Great paint on the Eschers, but your terrain really caught my eye. The ingenuity of scratch-build always reminds me of the 'good ol' days' when gamers truly had to build their own terrain as commercially available terrain was limited. You've shown some great stuff here. I also like the rust effects. Have you tried the salt method? If not, look it up on Youtube or search for blogs on Dakka, it's really easy and the results can push your terrain to the next level.

So there´s some new stuff for you.

First of all a new member for the R.A.T.S. I think I´ll call him "Beast" an ex-member of a Goliath gang. He reminds me of Bane in The Dark Knight´s Return. Armed with Autopistol and Sword he´ll be part of the meleefighting part of the gang....I´ll have to do some minor things to him, but I´d like to show it anyway...






The next are some of the Eschers. I know the skull on the hat sucks...I´ll chage this.






and something I didn´t paint but it was in the mail today. I bought these 4 girl on Ebay U.K. and the seller send it lightning fast to me. As you can see the paint scheme doesn´t really fit to mine so I´ll have to strip them though they are nicely done IMO.



Now, there´s only one Escher I don´t have but I want to. The Leader with Power Sword....argh...it´s hard if you´re like me and want to have every f***** modell.

Sweet paint jobs as always! :thumsbup: That ex-Goliath is a cool little model actually and I see the Bane resemblance. It's a shame you'll have to strip those new Escher but it's better that they get a repaint match the rest.

So here are the next steps. 11 of my Escher girls are finished now and based with my new "french fries" method. I bought some french fries´bowls in a 1€ shop. They got a very nice texture at the bottom I used for my bases. Some Q-tipps, needle heads and paperclips and there are some very easy to make and cheap bases.





here are the first 11 Ladies (sad thing: one of my youths died in her first fighting...sad little princess)



Next I´ll paint one more member of the R.A.T.S. and a Ratling sniper for my girls...

Thank you very much. We´ll have a Gorkamorka/Necromunda crossover this winter. So I think this threat will get bigger in the next months...I hope to get into a nice little firefight with my Van Sar enemy next week...

Here´s my new update! The R.A.T.S. send Ozzy with his 4barrell shotgun into battle, while my Escher girlies get some more firepower with the famous Ratling Sniper Bingo "Halfman" LaCroix. The next is a WIP of the first R.A.T.S. Heavy Skar armed with Flamethrower. Like Beast he is a ex member of a Goliath house gang and prefers more "personal" combat. Burn ´em all!
